Her music career started in her teens, in the time she was a part of the R&B group B2K. There was a false claim that her name was that of one of the "cousin" of B2K rapper Lil Fizz. Cherry Pie, a song in the 2002 film The Master of Disguise was her first song she sang in playback as a vocalist. The former boyfriend of hers, ORyans's debut music video"Take It Slow, featured her. The track can be downloaded as a digital download on iTunes. In the year she collaborated together with Canadian rapper Drake on his album, Nothing Was The Same she gained international recognition. The Worst was the top-selling single in US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop-Airplay in May 2014. The song also climbed to number 11 for Hot R&B/Hip-Hop.
