Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. She has released many studio records. DiFranco categorizes her music as folk-rock or alternative. But it contains influences such as punk, hip-hop, and jazz. The widely regarded feminist icon Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement, and was among the first artists to create her own label 1990. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They began their relationship in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
